FILM THE POLICE
We Respect the Law and Servants of the Law.
While engaging in any activities related to the Know Your Rights Campaign, we obey the law and the lawful instructions of police officers. When police officers ask us to move away from a scene, we move away, though we continue with our lawful activities.
We engage in our information campaign in public places unless we have permission to do so on private property.
We pass out flyers only where we are allowed to, in public places and on public sidewalks without blocking pedestrian traffic. When we pass out flyers on private property, we obtain permission first.
We respectfully engage with those we encounter, regardless of their opinions.
When engaging with individuals in the course of our information campaigning, we do so respectfully, regardless of those individuals' opinions of our campaign. If individuals do not want to receive our flyers, we repectfully comply.

We remember that our primary purpose is to inform citizens of their rights.
While we recognize that rights campaigns touch upon a number of complex issues, we always remember that our goal is promote an equal understanding of and use of rights by all citizens and residents.

We do not discriminate. Anyone may join our campaign--regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, profession, or income level.
Our goal is that all citizens may understand and exercise their rights without discrimination, so we do not discriminate against citizens and residents who want to join our campaign. This means that both black and white, police officer and non-police officer, U.S. citizen and U.S. legal resident are all welcome to join our campaign.

RULES OF CONDUCT
Though the Know Your Rights: Film the Police Campaign encourages citizens to understand and act on their first amendment rights in reference to filming the police, we are not anti-police. Rather, we are pro-rights. Thus, we ask that all citizens and residents of the United States who participate in our information campaign do so respectfully, peacefully, and in accordance with the following "rules of conduct."
